Bedroom – Surf Shack Bed

This project was a follow up from the princess carriage bed. A beach/surf theme was requested.

I started by building a deck on the sand colored carpet, followed by the frame of the shack, with siding and slanted window for a bit of fun / character. A thatch open roof was added.

I made some surfboards out of MDF, that were attached to the wardrobe doors. These were decorated by the new owner and her friends. The theme was continued by using wooden oars mounted as curtain rails and small skim boards were added to the dressing table, along with a driftwood mirror.
