Custom made oak bed

This is bed that I designed and constructed from scratch for my daughter. I uses solid oak posts and beams that I chose and purchased from a wood merchant in the Lake District.

As the would had a live edge and holes, I decided the fill them in with slate for an added detail. The bed frame was made as a Headboard, Base board and side rails. It was assembled in the room and a mattress support frame was made using curved beams for extra comfort support under the mattress.

The headboard post were cut and extended using copper pipes to allow bedside lights to be inserted into the posts. This is a unique one off piece because of the wood used, but I can make a version for you, sized and built to fit your room.
