Shed Conversion

I was asked if I could move and convert a shed to have better storage, take 2 new freezers and also, 2 mobility scooters.

The green storage unit was designed to fit across one end of the shed to maximize space for the waterproof storage boxes. It was also to raise the 2 freezers to a level that meant it was easy to load and unload them without bending down. The centre section allows for bags to be placed when loading or unloading the freezers. One of the freezers was altered to swing the other way, allowing the doors open from the centre, again to make life easier.

Due to the new position of the shed, the old door was in the wrong place, so i made a new one that was larger than the original to help with the loading of the mobility scooters. I cut an opening in the end of the wall and built a new frame around it to add the strength back to the wall. The door was then hung, It will be painted once the weather warms up.

This project made use of an existing shed, instead of buying a new one at considerable expense. They now have more storage than ever and also over 25 square feet of space to park the 2 mobility scooters. A ramp will be built next to make it easier to use.
